He finally popped the question, gave your dream engagement ring and you gave him you’re “no-doubt answer, YES!” and in a heartbeat, your world is about to change, you’re now engaged! Chills and excitement run down your spine as you are finally now a fiancé and you simply cannot wait to just start planning your wedding.
Getting engaged is one of the greatest milestones two people who decides to spend the rest of lives together, can experience. It is indeed an exciting time – one that’s going to be jam-packed with all sorts of fun-filled celebrations down the road. But there is one thing engaged couples all face once the spur-of-the-moment emotions have died down a little – what happens next?
The next few weeks or months (after you’ve broken the news to your families, friends and SOCIAL MEDIA – can’t forget that), would really be focusing on deciding when you both would like to officially tie-the-knot. Then start doing your research and start creating a blueprint on what you would like to prioritize in your wedding planning.
Then the next BIG things you would need to do are: Set a BUDGET (YES, this is DEFINITELY the first thing you would need to do in the initial stages of planning) and then find your dream wedding venue.
Sounds about easy right? Well not quite, if you have way too many to choose from within the city you live in and if you’re overwhelmed with the different information each venue comes with.
So, what we’ve done for you is narrow your choices down a bit and compiled information from different venues that we thought would be extremely gorgeous and worth your time to check out.
Here’s my tip about choosing your dream venue – it needs to fit right in with you and feel right with your celebration!

Some couples prefer to host lavish and grandiose weddings while some prefer to keep it intimate. There are a lot of factors that could tie into these decisions – ultimately it’s the guest experience that plays a huge factor in deciding whether or not the wedding is an intimate gathering or a lavish celebration.
If you’re one of the many couples that prefer a low-key wedding but still maintain a high level of elegance and sophistication and of course, exceptional dining experience, then I would highly recommend Montecito Restaurant. Their ambient lighting and floor to ceiling windows, are just to die for!
Located in the heart of Downtown Toronto, this modern and sleek beauty can host celebrations as little as 80 guests for a seated wedding up to a maximum capacity of 130 guests.
If your styles fit in the modern, cocktail style reception, the maximum capacity of this beautiful venue with seating, passed canapé’s and food stations would be 300 guests. Amazing right?!
Montecito’s vision has always been to attract a wide range of guests and draw them into their beautiful space. This venue is so worth checking-out.
This venue also comes well-equipped to host a ceremony on-site and also has a bridal suite for the convenience of the bride and her bridal party. Check it out!
